Gran Gesto Three-peats Freestyle Win at CDI Palgrave

Friday July 20,2011 - Cedar Valley, On - Last Sunday afternoon, at the Palgrave CDI 3*, when Gran Gesto heard the opening bars to his "Alexander" freestyle, he knew it was time to dance. And dance he did, winning the Grand Prix Freestyle, his third in a row, with a score of 70.96%,

"He just keeps surprising me with his love of competing, especially in the freestyle," Jacquie Brooks said of her 2008 Olympic partner.

Brooks has trained and competed "Sam", as she calls him, for the last 11 years since he was 5 years old.

"I am just enjoying one competition at a time with Sam until he tells me he is ready to retire," Brooks added.

Several Brookhaven Dressage clients competed at Palgrave which kept Jacquie hopping from ring to ring.

"I'd like to congratulate all my clients who competed at Palgrave. I am very proud of them," Brooks concluded.

Brookhaven "stars" were Megan Glynn who took a first on Tyto with 67.372% and Lori Bell who was first on Royal Rubin with 70.7%

Congratulations also go out to the following BHD clients who achieved personal goals or took a step in the right direction to achieving those goals: Heather Brien, Jennifer Kellock, Jayne Marino, Natasha Varga-Papp, Joanne White and Leah Wilson.

Congratulations as well to Jacquie's eventing clients who showed off their dressage skills in the special event class at Palgrave.
